Seasonal Activities

Visit Arrowhead Park throughout the seasons to experience new activities and enjoy the changing faces of nature. See the lists below for ideas on what you can do in the park during each of the four seasons.

Fall
-Explore the woodland trails and watch the leaves change colors.
-View the flock of geese that are regular visitors to Arrowhead. Watch them feed along the shore and take a dip in the lake.
-Fishing is always fun when the weather is nice. Enjoy a crisp autumn day alongside Arrowhead Lake.
-Celebrate Arrowhead's Annual Chili Fest in the fall.

Winter
-Take a winter walk through the park.
-Enjoy the ice on Arrowhead Lake and slide across its smooth surface.
-Rent a cabin and spend a quiet evening in the park.

Spring
-Listen for frogs and toads as they awake from their winter slumbers.
-Try reeling in a hungry fish or two as the ice begins to melt.
-Look for spring wildflower blooms.
-Break out the camping gear and spend a weekend cooking over a fire and enjoying the park.

Summer
-Rent paddleboats or canoes and hit the lake for summer sun and fun.
-Spend a weekend camping, fishing, and looking for shooting stars on a summer's night.
-Attend the annual Kid's Fishing Derby in June.
-Visit the overlook deck.
-Enjoy a picnic at one of the park shelters.
