Missouri Overlook Shelter



This covered shelter overlooking the Missouri River invites visitors to stay and enjoy the beauty of the river. The Omaha downtown skyline is visible. When not reserved, the shelter is available on a first come first serve basis.

Rental Fees:
$75.00 - $73.00 rental fee plus $2.00 processing fee
$100.00 refundable alcohol deposit (if applicable)

  • 28' x 36' Covered Shelter
  • Electricity
  • Water
  • Modern restrooms nearby
  • Two charcoal grills
  • Ten picnic tables within the shelter and two picnic tables exposed
  • Three trash cans
  • Archery range access
  • Equal access picnic table with checkerboard
  • Horseshoe pits, horseshoes available upon request
  • Volleyball net, volleyballs not provided

Reservations must be made at least 3 days in advance of your event. You must be 21 & over to make a reservation.

Please understand at the time of booking your reservation you immediately prohibit other people from reserving and utilizing that facility - they therefore go elsewhere to locate a facility for that date. We will observe a NON-REFUNDABLE RESERVATION policy with the following exceptions:
  • Accident, serious injury or death of an immediate family member
  • Travel conditions where a substantial risk is required in order to travel, such as a winter storm where a travel advisory has been issued
  • We are unable to provide your facility (or like facility) in operable condition for the date of your event
