Pottawattamie Conservation Foundation

The Pottawattamie Conservation Foundation (PCF) is led by a volunteer based board of directors.  The long range goals of PCF are to acquire land for habitat preservation and public use, support environmental education activities in Pottawattamie County and utilize partnerships to attain its goals.

PCF memberships help the organization provide
• Scholarships and supplies to 1,600 students for school nature field trips
• $10,000 for the acquisition of 145 acres of land at Hitchcock Nature Center
• Equipment and training for the study of birds of prey at Hitchcock
• Support to events like the Kid’s Fishing Derby at Arrowhead Park and Chipper’s Spring Adventure at Narrows River Park
